Welcome
I wish you a warm welcome to the website for the London Province of "The United Religious, Military and Masonic Orders of the Temple and of St. John of Jerusalem, Palestine, Rhodes and Malta in England and Wales and Provinces Overseas", or as it is more simply known, the Knights Templar. Like Freemasonry, the Order has a number of provinces across the country, the Province of London being one of them. We serve around 900 Knights and I hope this website provides a little more information on our history, setup, charity work and social activities as well as providing a greater understanding and appreciation of our Order. Please feel free to browse and if you have any questions or wish to have more information, we will be delighted to hear from you.

Calling Notice - Provincial Meeting Tuesday 29th September 2026
The annual Chapter of the Provincial Priory will be opened at 4.00pm under the banner of New Temple Preceptory No. 117. All Knights are requested to attend, especially new Knights, at Mark Masons Hall. The meeting starts at 4.00pm with dinner to follow around 6.30pm. The menu will be:
~ Oak smoked salmon, finely sliced shallots and capers, gribiche sauce and herb salad;
~ Oven roasted pheasant, braised red cabbage, confit garlic fondant potato, port and redcurrant jus;
~ Passion fruit and mango delice, confit lemon;
~ Cheese and biscuits and wine is included;
~ Tea, coffee and mints.

Muristan Appeal
The Province of London is working with the SJEHG to create a visitors’ café in the Garden in Muristan. This would provide an attractive and sympathetic space in the heart of the Old City, Jerusalem where pilgrims and tourists could learn a little about the work of SJEHG whilst enjoying the tranquil surroundings. The site is not only one of the clinical facilities within the Group, but is of great historical importance, being the location of the ancient and original Hospitaller complex and is close to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
The Muristan Appeal, launching at the Provincial Priory Meeting in September, is for us to raise £14,000 before the Provincial Malta Meeting in January 2027 and we are asking every Preceptory to endeavour to raise £500 towards the Appeal. CLICK HERE for further details.
