With 29 Preceptories, many dating back to the 19th Century, and with around 800 Knights, it is a Province for London masons.

Our charity work extends to the St. John Eye Hospital in Jerusalem, treating patients regardless of ethnicity, religion or their ability to pay.

The Knights Templar degree is open to all craft Freemasons who are also members of the Royal Arch and who also profess the Trinitarian faith.

Knights of Malta
Becoming a Knight of Malta is part of a very colourful and detailed ceremony, drawing its inspiration and tenets from the Knights Hospitallers and is an appended order to the Knights Templar.

Welcome

I wish you a warm welcome to the website for the London Province of "The United Religious, Military and Masonic Orders of the Temple and of St. John of Jerusalem, Palestine, Rhodes and Malta in England and Wales and Provinces Overseas", or as it is more simply known, the Knights Templar. Like Freemasonry, the Order has a number of provinces across the country, the Province of London being one of them. We serve around 900 Knights and I hope this website provides a little more information on our history, setup, charity work and social activities as well as providing a greater understanding and appreciation of our Order. Please feel free to browse and if you have any questions or wish to have more information, we will be delighted to hear from you.

London Provincial Temple Meeting
Monday 29th September 2025 at 4.00pm

The annual Provincial Temple Meeting is to be held on Monday 29th January 2025 at Mark Mason's Hall, 86 St. James' Street, London SW1A 1PL.

The Right Eminent Provincial Prior is delighted to invite you to a wonderful combination of a colourful and fascinating ceremony with an update on Provincial matters. Come along and support those Knights from your Preceptory gaining their active appointment, a past promotion or their first appointment and enjoy the pageantry and ceremony of the day. It is also great to see Knights attending this special day for the Province.

The meal is Hot smoked salmon pate with crispy breads and baby greens; Supreme of chicken stuffed with asiago, crispy potato, a selection of vegetables and marsala demi; White chocolate and raspberry tart; Cheese and biscuits; Coffee and tea. Wine is included at a price of £60.00.
